Red bridal gown with a long gold-embroidered jacket over a flared skirt

Gown

Full-length silhouettes for walima and receptions — structured, draped or flared.

A single continuous line from shoulder to floor. The gown is the most Western silhouette we cut and the one most often chosen for walima, where the palette softens and the shape is expected to be cleaner than the barat piece.

Structured, draped or flared are three genuinely different garments. A structured gown is built with internal support and holds its own shape; a draped one takes its line from how the fabric falls on you, which means the fitting matters more; a flared one sits between the two. We will talk through which suits your frame and the room before anything is cut.

Because there is no waist seam breaking the field, embroidery placement carries the piece. Panels that follow the body's line tend to work better here than a scattered all-over motif.
